St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church is a historic mission chapel in the small, rural community of Gheens in southern Lafourche Parish. Physically located at 1701 Highway 654, Catholics have worshipped here since 1912. Although in the 1920s, a severe storm struck the area and entirely destroyed the original St. Anthony church building, the community rallied together to rebuild and continue to gather to worship to this day.

Mass Schedule
Saturday (Vigil Mass): 6:00pm
Sunday: 9:00am
During the seasons of Advent and Lent, St. Anthony has Mass on Wednesday at 5:30pm.
NEW: St. Anthony will now have Mass at 5:30pm on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month followed by a formation group meeting in the Spiritual Life Center!
Confession is available 30 minutes prior to each Mass or by appointment. You can schedule an appointment for Confession here.

Youth Formation Registration is now available! We are excited to provide online registration AND payment this year. Click here to register:
We are also excited to announce that we now have a St. Anthony Adult Formation Group! We will celebrate Mass at 5:30pm with Confession beginning at 5. Following Mass, we will walk to the Spiritual Life Center where we will have formation in the form of a video series or other resource. Meetings will take place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. We hope everyone can come!
